I managed to get through the homesickness without a major breakdown. We had a busy weekend, as the gallery can show you.
We learned that the Scythians came from here, and that Alexander the Great made it to the Sur Darya river in western Kazakhstan, where the Scythian army was too strong, so he turned south to Persian (Iran).
After a day of archeology, we went bowling with a few friends, then, to cap off the night, we went go cart racing.
Today, we went to the market to buy berries to throw in the freezer for pies in the winter. The blackberries taste like home, so we held some out, bought some heavy cream, and are about to eat berries and cream.
