brian@bpsphoto.com BioI'm a photographer and the husband of a diplomat. We travel a lot. Basically, we use the opportunity of living close to unusual places to travel to those places. Y'know what I've learned? Whether you're drinking yak milk tea, eating salted dried milk pellets, slurping down noodles in horse broth or eating a club sandwich with fries and a coke, it's something that's basic sustenance to someone. No matter how exotic a place may seem to me before I go, it becomes a place I've been after I left. Tashkent is really no more exotic than Seattle, Son Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan is no stranger than Lake Chelan in Washington State. This journal records much of those impressions. My goal is to make the world a little smaller.
